ID3 Saved Searches

User Contributed Notes 1 note

Thanks to the few users who have already posted an answer and posted the link to the website of the book “Advanced Windows Programming” I got a definite answer to my problem and saved much time and effort.

It didn’t take me long to find the solution I wanted and after using it for some time I decided to post an answer.

Because I’ve been looking at the ID3 and ID3plus tags on some of my music files, I decided to write a simple program that lets me search the tags. It’s called ID3Searcher and you can download it from here:

Download the source code here:

Next, take a look at the simple manifest file named “readme.txt”. I’ve posted it in the zip file you can download.

All you have to do to run this program is to click on it once and everything you need to know should appear on the screen.

And that’s it. A simple but handy program that has saved me many hours of work.

Excellent advice from you to the OP. I’ve been using this program for a while and I use it quite often for some pretty simple tasks.

And the key for me is to use a machine that’s small and light so I can take it everywhere with me.

One of the great things about this program is that it’s very easy to use.

One of the reasons I like this program is that it displays the search results in a tree structure so it’s very easy to get what I want.

Another feature I like is that you can expand a search tree node and have all the details expanded like date, description and other details.Q:

Python value_counts() aggregation

I am trying to sum up the count of each value in the column,
My code is as follows,
data.value_counts(dtype=int)
I get the error,
TypeError: an integer is required

What I want to do is, for example (if I have a column called ‘gender’), sum up the counts for each ce698b3d9e

Have you ever had to deal with “I have this error, how to fix it?” type of questions?

In case you have, the answer is “You need a tool.”

While the whole database-specific-answers seems pretty redundant, it’s a necessity in this day and age of SQL-tinkering. Sure, databases are built to ensure you don’t mess up your data, but they’re not infallible.

While I love to solve problems with code, some issues simply don’t have an automated fix. In those cases, you’re stuck creating a SQL statement that is far more complex and fraught with bugs than it should be.

Take a look at the sample below. It’s pretty self-explanatory, and the answer is at the very bottom of the page. You’ll need a bit of knowledge about the rows of a table and the relationships between them.

Now, imagine that when one table is removed, the remaining tables and tables’ rows disappear. Do you think you could generate this SQL statement?

The answer is: No, because that’s exactly what you’d want to avoid. There are probably a ton of SQL injection attacks where the attacker can read the user’s IP address, the date of birth and other critical information.

So how do you handle this problem?

Whenever possible, you should avoid writing complex SQL statements, which can create an avenue for problems. As you can see, this statement will fail if, for example, a record doesn’t have a specific set of values.

How do you know whether a specific set of values is required?

I have a handy little SQL utility called SQL Guru, which contains over 1000 tests.

Additionally, this is a great way to validate what’s going on in your SQL statements. You can use it to check for common syntax errors and basic logic.

It’s really nice and easy to use. All you have to do is paste in a SQL statement, pick the column you’d like
